About me
Andrew Hickson BA, Certified NLP coach and practitioner
I was born in Geneva in 1976 with dual Swiss/British nationality and educated at the International School there. I then went to University in Manchester, UK, studying Social Sciences, which included an Erasmus placement in the Netherlands. Unsure about my objectives in life, I left University to take a job in the Customer Call centre of an international computer manufacturer in Amsterdam, Netherlands then took a similar position with a software company based in Bordeaux, France.
I became interested in personal coaching during this period, undertaking engagements in my spare time and during vacations. I also applied the coaching principles to myself as I had an increasing desire and need to get a clearer direction in my own life. Thus I returned to university in Geneva to obtain a degree in business administration while expanding my coaching activities.
Having obtained my university degree in 2005, I started to fulfill my dream of going into coaching on a fulltime basis, combining consulting engagements with formal Neuro Linguistic Programming study and with the development of my own coaching methodology. I have personally experienced a long period of uncertainty regarding what I wanted from my life, and the drifting this can cause. I took the coaching techniques and methodologies I practice and applied them to myself. I have seen firsthand their success. I am passionate about the benefits Coaching can bring and committed to applying the highest professional standards to all my coaching engagements.
